Sporadic Login Prompts

asked on January 25, 2017

We have Laserfiche RIO integrated with Active Directory to provide access to Laserfiche using the Web Access interface.

On random occasions, but fairly regularly, one of our users gets prompted to login to Web Access.  Since we're integrated with Active Directory, this should never happen.

I've verified the user has a license allocated and they're not locked out of the network.  The only fix is to have the user log off their PC and back on.

I've checked the local PC's event viewer, and the Web Access server's event viewer, but can't find any reason for this happening.  Is there any tool I can use, or log I can review to determine why Web Access is prompting the user to login?

Are you authenticating with Kerberos?  If it's an isolated, intermittent problem it could be related to something like clock drift between the user's machine and some of the others.

We do use Kerberos, and we do have some issues with NTP throughout our WAN.  Trying to figure out whether that's the reason, or something else.
