Question

Save to Default Folder in Outlook

asked on January 25, 2017 Show version history

Been trying for an hour to find this simple setting.  Does anyone know where the setting is for this?  The Help File video shows the menu in the Web Admin Console

However, I don't find anything there logged in as admin.

I have found the attribute SendToOutlookFolder and a value of \Imported Email\username.

I have tried to change this attribute to remove the \username.  It saves however when I use the Save to Default Folder in outlook, the attribute switches back.

Has anyone found the menu or know why that attribute keeps switching back?

Thanks,

Chris

In Web Access 10.2 if you enable the feature in the Web Client Config for Managment access this feature is available.

Under there the Integrations Menu then the Outlook Import tab has that value. I suspect the attribute is updated by the setting which is why it keeps changing back on you.

Is the Management Access only in 10.2?

For this method I believe so, yes. It's new. I mentioned it because I was just in there yesterday and saw it. Do you have access to the update? If not, I could do a quick look around in Web Admin.

We certainly have it available but we cannot upgrade at this time due to our project timeline (middle of user testing).  We will upgrade before going live though so once done I am sure I can find it.  It seems the default is Incoming Mail\username can be worked around with workflow.  The users saw the Save to Default folder and of course immediately asked where they configure that default.  Seems odd that I could not find it or it wasn't just readily available in Outlook.  Thanks Jeremy.
