Adobe Reader error 523:523

I've had several people suddenly have a problem in Laserfiche where whenever they try to save a PDF they get a pop-up saying "There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If it is running, please exit and try again. (523:523). We've been trying a few different things but they seem to only work for a couple days and they get the error again. Anybody else have this problem, or know how to solve it? It seems to be a very sporadic problem that I can't pin down.

Seems to be an Acrobat issue and not LF. According to Adobe, you should turn off Protected mode in Acrobat by clearing the Enable Protected Mode selection in startup in the Security (Enhanced) dialog:
