Cannot connect to LFDS during server install

Hello,

I'm setting up a new server machine for a client. They already have 8 other repositories. The new server can ping the LFDS server with both computer name and IP. When I try to install the server software, it can't connect to the LFDS during the wizard. I tried with IP, computer name, and full qualified name. Also have windows firewall turn off. 

What else could be blocking it? Thanks for the help.

Did you change the ports used by the Directory server? Can you verify that you can connect using Telnet over those ports to LFDS from the LF server and vice versa?

So we have not changed the ports in Directory server. I double checked the LFDS.config file. I can not connect using telnet but my IT person for that company is saying she can telnet between them both. I can ping the computers back and forth and have windows firewall turn off on both machines as well. Where else is there to check?

OK, I can confirm that I can telnet to both the ports 5048 and 5049 from the new server to the LFDS. But when I try to connect through the server installation wizard it fails. I checked the Event Viewer and it shows the warning "Failed to connect to server. Error: 0x800401F0"
