Question

Additional Repository

asked on January 19, 2017

Customer has purchased an additional repository and is on Avante. My understanding is that I will need to install the additional repo on the existing server, does that mean I'm just creating a separate database for this new repo on their SQL server?

The Laserfiche Repo folder and the actual volumes (data/images) can be on a different server all together is that correct? I would just need to configure this through the admin console when registering the new repo?

Thanks for the help!

You would need to re-activate the Avante Server to get the new license file that allows for a second repository. Make sure to properly replace the old license file with the new license file and restart the Laserfiche Server service.

As for using this second repository, you would just create it like you would any other repository.

Thanks for the reply Alex,

So would I be able to use a different SQL Server installed on another server for the new repo or does the new database for the repo have to be installed on the same SQL Server?
