Question

Character "<" causing error in forms

asked on January 11, 2017 Show version history

I have found that when filling a form and adding the character "<" to a form's text field, the following error occurs:

"An unexpected error has occurred. [LFF502-UnexpectedError]"

The form cannot be Submitted.  The error is not fatal as you can go back to the previous screen and try again.  The event log shows the offending characters.

I have been unable to find any "forbidden" characters listed in Laserfiche manuals.

Is there such a list?

"&# or '<' next to (a-z, /, ?, !)" is not allowed in the field value, we have improved the error messaging in the coming Forms 10.2
