"The ordinal 113 could not be located in the dynamic link library PIXMDLN.dll"

asked on January 11, 2017

My client is receiving the error "The ordinal 113 could not be located in the dynamic link library PIXMDLN.dll" when attempting to scan in laserfiche. They get the error in both TWAIN and ScanConnect engines. Multiple users receive the error under different lf accounts and windows accounts. We have tried a repair of drivers and laserfiche but nothing works. Looking up the dll online tells me that it has to do with adobe acrobat, but I made sure that adobe acrobat reader is installed. They are on version 10.1.0.151 and using a Canon Dr-3010C.

Since the file is an Adobe Acrobat file, I would try repairing the Acrobat installation.

Do you have any issues scanning when you don't use Laserfiche? What about viewing files in Acrobat?

The error message is generic and typically means an issue with the scanner driver. You can refer to this other forum that also mentions the same error message.

Have you tried uninstalling the scanner driver, rebooting the PC, downloading the latest driver from the manufacturer's website and reinstalling?

I've just run into this error today when trying to set up a DR-C2010 scanner for my coworker.

Except mine is targeting this PIXMISIS.PXN file under C:\Windows\PIXTRAN

Are there any solutions to this?

Have you tried the troubleshooting steps Alex mentioned above?

As we've said, it's not an error generated by Laserfiche. Are you only seeing the issue when using Laserfiche, and not when scanning outside Laserfiche?

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the scanner drivers several times with the latest Canon driver, and rebooted the computer as well.

I've yet to scan outside of laserfiche.

Since this is a generic error, testing scanning outside Laserfiche is an important step in the troubleshooting process.

If that doesn't work, you will probably need to contact Canon support to troubleshoot.

I'll have the user do some test scans to see if we get this error outside of LF then, thanks!!
