form link missing in LF Forms

Good Morning,

I have been working on a form/process today. I was going to change the form link before publishing, but the form link option is missing from the "publishing options page". The only options I have are instance name, time zone, and process status. I checked all of my other forms and they still have the form link option on the publishing options page. Any ideas? I have tried logging out/back into Laserfiche forms and the form is set to Public.

Please check whether your process start with a message start event with a starting form selected or not? Only process with message start event and have starting form selected will have the link displayed.

That was it. I had the process starting with just a start event instead of a message start event. I now have the option to change the form link.

Sorry to dredge this back up from long ago. Hoping a dev can respond...

 

Why is this the behaviour?

If I don't use a message start event I can still hover over the "Start" button on the "Start Process" page and see how I could link to the process.

What is the purpose of not allowing me to customize that address unless I use a message start event?

If I do change the process to have a message start event, it gets the same default link so I'm not sure why we are being forced to only use one kind of start event.

I'd like to start a process by having a QR code users can scan to take them to the process, but I don't need to start it with a message start event.

Any insight would be appreciated.

The reason for hiding the process link when the start event is not a message start event is the process link cannot be used to start such process. The request to start such process likes following:

POST https://xxxx.laserfiche.com/Forms/BusinessProcess/ManualTrigger

with data "{"mainProcessId":590}"
