Hello,

I have a user who will be updating their Laserfiche server clusters microsoft updates relatively soon. We are trying to determine if there are any known issues that occur between LF products 10.0 and up and recent Microsoft/windows updates. I have provided a list below that depicts the exact versions of products as well.

Audit Trail- 10.1.1.254
Web Admin Console- 10.1.0.120

Forms- 10.1.0.559
Web Access- 10

Quick Fields- 10.0.0.976
Quick Fields Agent- 10.0
Import Agent- 10.0.0.219

Please let me know if there is anything else I can provide to help clarify the question.

Thanks!

Hi Charles,

The only one to watch out for is the latest updates for Windows 10 can uninstall Microsoft .net 3.5 which is required by the Laserfiche client. It was discussed here - http://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/61935/Could-not-create-required-control-6720-on-opening-client  - and there is a KB article relating to it here - https://support.laserfiche.com/kb/1013815/a-could-not-create-required-control-6720-error-occurs-when-signing-in-with-the-laserfiche-windows-client-

Hope this helps! smiley

Thanks Chris! I don't believe their servers use Windows 10 so that won't likely be an issue.

This is client side, not server side wink

For Forms, please apply the update 3 for 10.1 as well as there are many issues fixed with the update.  You can get the update from https://support.laserfiche.com/kb/1013806/list-of-changes-for-laserfiche-forms-10-1-update-3-

Xiao Xiao,

My apologies as I believe I worded it wrong. The updates they are performing are the actual microsoft/windows updates, not updating LF. So just to make sure, are you advising that they update Forms to 10.1 update 3 before installing microsoft updates? Or is it just a general benefit to all to update to 10.1 update 3?

Thanks!

I just suggested if you install Forms 10.1, please make sure you update to 10.1 update 3.

Thanks XiaoXiao,

Was there anything from Laserfiche on whether there are conflicts with LF 10 and current Microsoft Updates?

Thanks!
