Automatically Load Next Task - Not working

Greetings,

In the process modeler in Forms, there is an option in the assign task action which allows the next task to automatically load for the user. This prevents the user from having to see the task window close and select a new task.

This is not working for me on Forms 10.1 update 2 or update 3 in IE 11 or Firefox 49. After submitting the task, it waits 5-6 seconds, closes the window bringing the user back to the task list screen to manually open the next assigned task.

I am not seeing any errors in the event viewer or unusual traffic in wireshark. (Besides the 302 which is expected as mentioned in this post .) Retrys are set to 20 as indicated in the Forms database table cf_options.

Has anyone else had this issue or have an idea on places to look for troubleshooting?

Hi Carl,

This option works fine for me in a trivial example.

I have a process that performs two consecutive user tasks where both are assigned to the same user. When I have the option to "Automatically load the next task if the same person is assigned to it" enabled in the first user task, then after completing it, the second user tasks automatically loads.

The online help file provides a more detailed description of how that option works.

Select the Automatically load the next task if the same person is assigned to it option if the next user task in the process is assigned to the same individual as this task and if you want the next user task's form to appear immediately after the user submits this user task's form.

If your process is set up in a similar manner where the same user is assigned to consecutive user tasks, but after completing the first task, the form for the next user task in the process doesn't get loaded, then please contact your Laserfiche reseller to open a support case. Be sure to provide a copy of your business process as well.

Ah! I've misunderstood it then. I was expecting it to load the next task assigned to the person if they were using the same business process, not if it was within the same BP instance.

An obvious (now you know it) lesson, to open the NEXT task automatically then it is the PROCEEDING (i.e the current) task where this option to "Automatically load the next task if the same person is assigned to it" is set.
