Update Word Document Issue

I have a workflow that is Updating a Word Document, and sends it in an email after the update.

It show Completed in Workflow but its not actually updating the Word Document. I tried the find & Replace and Simple Mail Merge, and neither worked.

Any suggestions? thanks in advance for your efforts.

You're attaching the empty document ("server attachment") not the one generated by the Update Word Document activity.

How do I attached the updated document? Where does it reside on the local server or in Laserfiche?

You are missing a Create Entry. Try:

1. Use the Create Entry activity to create a document in the place you want your word doc to go.

2. Do your Update Word activity like you have it.

3. In the Attach Electronic Document activity, point the Source to the resulting file of the Update Word Activity and Attach File To the empty document you created in step one.

So does the create Entry go beofre the Update Word Document?

In the File to Attach you want to select "Activity" instead of "Server Attachment"

Then select the Results file.

If you don't need it saved to Lf, you can skip the Attach E-Doc activity and attach it directly to the email as file.

So I created the Create Entry and updated the Attach file activity. Still getting the original Word Doc and not the Updated Merged Doc. Please Assist.
