Quick Fields Error " File Input/Output" and "The object must have its connection set before it can be used"

Hello,

 

I have a user who is experiencing an issue in Quick Fields 9.0.0.427 where they try and store documents in to LF and receive the errors depicted in my provided screen shots. I have confirmed that Quick Fields is able to make a valid connection to the LF Repository and does not yield any errors. This session has worked fine before. It also looks like they have the appropriate Volume selected as well. Has anyone seen this before?

What version of the Laserfiche Server are they using?

Unfortunately it doesn't look like we ever received a response from the original poster nor was a support case opened so we were unable to troubleshoot or find the root cause for the original post.

This is a somewhat generic error so it's hard to make conclusions without more troubleshooting, however there are a small handful of cases over the years with similar issues, and those past cases were mostly related to volume permission issues or issues connecting to the Laserfiche server. In a couple of previous cases it was resolved by simply rebooting the Quick Fields machine. 

If you are encountering similar errors and have tried the things mentioned above, I'd recommend opening a support case.

I was able to fix this by Selecting SSL Connection in my configuration- there is another answers case out there about this with a solution.
