I am curious if anyone else has had this same issue or a resolution/help for this issue?
We have a client running Quick Fields 10. Sessions were built on, and stored, on the local machine. All users have identical rights/privileges. After they scan in one of their batches of docs, they need to switch to different sessions for additional batches, and so forth.
Switching sessions is where we have an issue develop…
Session switch - Approach 1: To switch the session, they choose: File > Open > From Computer, and then the session they need to use. When they do this however, it causes Scan Connect module to crash. Once the crash happens the only way we can get Quick Fields back to a working state again is to restart the PC.
Session switch - Approach 2: Should they choose to close out of Quick Fields entirely (red X or file close), then re-open and select a session, it works just fine.
Session switch - Approach 3: If we create and double click a desktop shortcut to the actual Quick Fields sessions, it also works just fine.
It seems to only fail when we try Approach 1 stated above, and the client does not wish to use Approaches 2 or 3 stated above, when running their batch scanning. They want to be able to switch using Approach 1 only.
We have tried uninstalling/re-installing Scan Connect, have rebuilt the sessions, and reconfigured Quick Fields as part of our research and/or troubleshooting.
Any ideas and what to look for or check out next? Or try? Am I missing something? Any help is greatly appreciated!
