scan booklet

Is there any way to scan a booklet (removing staples) so that it re-orders the pages correctly? With out having page 15 and 18 on the same page for example?

I'm confused how pages 15 and 18 would be scanned together. Did you mean 15 and 16?

Just an example to illustrate how page numbers on booklets would look like prior to (or after the removal of) stapling. The numbers may not match up with the user's case as it depend on the total number of pages.

For example,

  • Scanning the front-side of the first (outermost) page of the booklet will give page 1 and page 20;
  • Scanning the back-side of the first page will give page 2 and page 19;
  • And so on.

Is there a solution to this?  I would also like to do this.
