Workflow designer - search not showing results that are older than one month.

I am trying to see the history of a workflow that ran more than one month ago.

When I am searching in the Workflow Designer, I am not seeing any results that are more than one month old.

How can I see workflows that ran more than one month ago.

Please see the screenshot attached.

If you have nothing else checked that should work.

I am not sure how many instances will show by leaving it open ended like that.

That search would for me return thousands of instances. Maybe narrow your search by using the between dates.

Completed instances are only kept for a month after completion by default. So that behavior would be correct if you don't have any instances that started more than a month ago and are still running.

Completed instances are deleted from the database 30 days after they complete. So, no, there is no way to see history.

The lifetime of completed instances can be modified in the server options in the Workflow Admin Console. Keep in mind that increasing the lifetime can have an effect on the size of the SQL database.

Can you please confirm that following is the way to increase the lifetime?

Admin Console -> Advanced Server Options -> 'Remove instance data for completed workflow.

(screenshot attached).

If not, can you please let me know how to increase the lifetime.
