Thinking that if a Discussion could be started via a Workflow Action when a new document appears in the Repository, where the Discussion was a Pre-populated Checklist or other activities that the users are require to complete, check off, respond to , etc, may be another way to further engage users in discussions. This could also augment the collaboration and introduce an enhanced approval process for documents in the repository as opposed to the requirement to change metadata fields
