Field Rules for Radio Button within Table

asked on December 5, 2016 Show version history

Is it not possible to have field rules  based upon radio buttons within a table? If I was to use a regular radio button field and have other fields act upon the selection given, that is fine.

Can this not be achieved with radio buttons inside of a table?

I cant seem to identify each of my rows that are unique and have an a radio button selection? (as attached).

yes you can have field rules in the table based on a radio button. Can you elaborate on what your field rule is doing?

Hi Javier,

What I am getting at is, say I have a comment box appear that is required and must be filled in if a radio button answer is no.

From my screen shots you can see how my table is built and lets say I want my last item in my table 'SC04 Monthly Meeting Held' to have a field rule that says (as attached);

Show 'comment' when SC04 Monthly Meeting Held is 'No'.

But when I come to create this rule (as attached) I can only select the table name and none of the four radio button selections from the list attached.

So how would I target SC04 Monthly Meeting Held to react to someone selecting 'No' in my table? It doesn't seem clear to me.

Any and all help is again appreciated!

If you are using only one column in your table why don't you just use the regular radio button field instead. That would solve your issue. You can't use field rules to grab a distinct element by column and row.
