method not found

I recently updated my client's quick fields from version 9 to version 10 and it will no longer open. I click the shortcut or exe and it loads for a second and then stops. There is an error in the event log, "Method not found". I have tried a repair but to no avail. Has anyone else encountered this before? Thanks!

Hi Ricardo, 

This can occur when earlier Quick Fields 9 patches were applied in the incorrect order. You can follow these steps to repair the installation:

  1. Uninstall Quick Fields 10
  2. Navigate to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly
  3. Remove the following folders in C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly:
    • All folders whose names begin with "Laserfiche.BatchProcessor"
    • All folders whose names begin with "Laserfiche.QuickFields"
    • BatchProcessor.Connection
    • BPPDFImporter83
  4. Reinstall Quick Fields 10

 

EDIT: KB 1013814 has now been created describing this fix.

Hi Ricardo, 

This can occur when earlier Quick Fields 9 patches were applied in the incorrect order. Please open a support case and they can assist you in fixing the installation.
