Hello,

Is it possible to delete the last page of each documents ?

I've created a QF session with 11 documents classes. We have a batch of documents and each document is separated from the other with a page marked "SEPARATION". I've figured out how to split the batch on "SEPARATION" marked page with the "Last page identification" part. Now each documents is ended with the "SEPARATION" page. How can I delete it ?

Thank you all for your answers. Finally, I kept the SEPARATION sheet at the end of each document and just change the font size of the SEPARATION word to a smaller one. This way I get a SEPARATION sheet under 10Ko and setting the Delete Page activity to delete every pages under that limit of 10Ko made the trick.

Hi Moana

As you are using Separation sheets I would recommend you use First Page Identification to split on the Separation Page, possibly with Pattern Matching to Find "SEPARATION" or some other unique identifier on that page. Using First Page Identification the Separator sheet will become the First Page of the Document, then you can add a Page Removal Activity in the Post Processing area and set the Page Number to 1.

Hi Steve,

thank you for your answer, but I'm wondering how can I set a document from a type ? If I do the split the way you told me to do, how can I manage differents documents types since the 1st page will be the same for each one ?

Would it be possible to have a Unique Form Identifier on the Separation Sheet?

Hi Moana,

While I recommend using First Page Identification with unique form identifiers as Steve suggested when possible, here's a workaround to remove the last page of each document.

We'll try to provide an easier way to accomplish this in future versions.

Wondering if any improvements have been add to handle this, some of these ideas non longer seems available. For instance Page removal is no longer an option for the Custom Post Processing actions.

The custom solution / option no longer seems to be available in the latest QF version.

We have an invoice package, with a split sheet where we put the "office use only documents" after.

I would like to scan the invoices, random number of pages - discarding everything after the split sheet, we have this working but I also want to get rid of the split sheet - as it turns out to be the last page of every invoice which is less than ideal.

Any ideas on this?
