Question

Forms 10 LFF502-UnexpectedError

asked on November 21, 2016 Show version history

Laserfiche Forms Version 10.1.0.579

I'm getting this error after I submit the form.

Event Viewer shows

An unexpected error has occurred. [LFF502-UnexpectedError]

Details: URL: /Forms/Form/Submit

Error: UnexpectedError Date: 11/21/2016 11:24:20 AM (Pacific Standard Time)

HTTP Status Code: 500

User: ADMIN IP: ::1

Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; WOW64; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/49.0

Business Process ID: 30 Business Process Name: TCSD Transfer Forms

Stack Trace: Caught exception: Laserfiche.Forms.CommonUtils.Exceptions.LFFormsException Message: An unexpected error has occurred. [LFF502-UnexpectedError]

Inner exception: System.FormatException Message: String was not recognized as a valid DateTime

The form submitted only has two Date fields, one is set to "today" as default and the other is a birthdate.

I've restarted the FormsAppPool and Forms Routing Service  already.

Any thing else I can check?

The Date Fields were using the default format. Using English with Chrome and Firefox didn't work.

I solved the issue, just deleted all the date fields and inserted new Date fields. The form is working correctly now.

Are you assigning these fields to your Template Metadata fields in Forms? If so, remove them and see if the form submits without them. If so, then check that the MetaData fields you are trying to assign them to match the Field Type, try 1 at a time to see if you can narrow it down to a single field.

The process goes: User submits form, it goes to Admin A to Approve/Reject, If approved, it goes to Admin B for a signature, then files into the repository.

The error shows up as soon as I initially submit the form for it to go to Admin A for approval.

I haven't done anything with the template metadata yet.

Do Approver A and B see the same form page or are you using different forms for each?

Dismiss this, I read your response incorrectly.

Approver B will see everything Approver A sees as Read Only and she'll only have a Required Signature Field to interact with.

Little help other than recommending you duplicate the form, and delete the Date Variables and see if the Form works that way, then if so, I'd recreate each Date Variable 1 at a time testing for the issue.

I probably will have to try doing so. Thanks for your input Steve!

What is the format for the Date field use today as default value? What is the language of your browser?
