Uploading Laserfiche documents to the web

asked on November 18, 2016

Hi All,

If I'm trying to upload a document to a website, I know there is the WebDAV setup as described here:

https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/55142/Attaching-a-Laserfiche-file-to-a-website-upload-form

however, is there a way to drag and drop? With WebAccess 10, it makes sense to be able to drag from one browser tab to another; however, and correct me if I'm wrong, I understand this may conflict with security backend setups, which is why this doesn't work?

Browser support for dragging events is rather limited and one-way.  You can drag documents from your machine into a browser (if the particular site or application allows it), but that's it.  You can't drag out of the browser and you can't drag between browsers.  You'll have to export the document from the Laserfiche web client (Web Access), which will allow you to save it to your computer.  Then you can upload it to the other web site (either dragging or with a file selection dialog).

Okay, this is what I was assuming but because I don't understand the back-end reasons why this limitation exists, I was hoping there was a work-around or an eventual integration capability.
