Questions regarding Active Directory and Laserfiche

asked on November 17, 2016

Hello All,

I have a few questions that I am unsure of the answer to. Any assistance on these would be greatly appreciated.

The questions for the most part are all in reference to Laserfiche Avante Server 10.0.0.900

1.) What method of authentication/bind is used to connect LF to Active Directory? Ex. Active Directory(Joined), LDAP(connects with service account)

2.) What versions (is there a current list provided by Laserfiche?) of Active Directory are supported by LF Avante 10.0.0.900?

3.) Is there a cloud version of Laserfiche Avante 10 that is cloud based and/or in the works to be cloud based?

4.) If there is or will be a cloud based version, will it be compatible with ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services/Azure AD?

Thanks in advance!

3. Laserfiche Cloud is based on the same software that is available to the on-premises users as Laserfiche 10. Going forward, new features may be available to Cloud customers first before being released to on-premises customers.

4. Currently, Laserfiche Cloud does not support ADFS. The next update to Laserfiche Cloud (to come within the next month or so) will add support for logging in with ADFS.

Is there a link that shows a roadmap for updates to Laserfiche Cloud?  I need an estimated date for when ADFS/Azure AD integration will be supported.

Support for logging into Laserfiche Cloud repositories through ADFS is part of our next Cloud Update, currently scheduled for December 2016.
