Feature Request: REST or GraphQL for Field Lookup in Forms

asked on November 15, 2016 Show version history

Hi Laserfiche,

I have a potential customer who would like to integrate Forms with one of their systems, and pull back data to populate forms. Like Laserfiche, their system doesn't support direct database access.

Is there a timeline for implementing REST or GraphQL for Forms?

Hi Ben, there is no plan for adding support for REST and GraphQL right now as it is the first time we heard of such request. We will consider it in the future if more customers request this.

Does their system support ODBC connection to get the data? We are looking into support ODBC so that you can populate data with more data sources

Hi Xiang,

They don't support database access of any kind and ODBC is still database access.

Hi Laserfiche,

So just to confirm: Are there plans to add REST or GraphQL to Forms?

That's a shame. Many companies, like Laserfiche block or discourage database access.

I hope others people request this function as well.

In the mean time, I can use AJAX and install PHP on my servers.
