Using Forms 10.1 we need to load a document that already lives with in the Laserfiche repository. Does anyone has perform something like that?

If what you are referring to is to display a document that exist in the Laserfiche Repository inside a window in Forms, the answer is "Yes" under two circumstances.

1. The user logged into Forms is a Full Repository User and can access Documents those documents through WebAccess

2. You have Weblink running and the user logged into Forms has access rights to see documents in your Weblink Portal.

If the Answer to either of the above is yes, then it is possible to serve documents to Forms for Display either with a Hyperlink to the Document or by displaying the Document in an Iframe that is part of a Custom HTML Field in your Form.

Thank you, but the idea is...

Using FORMS I want to load a document into de form. Forms has a button that let you load files from windows but I want to load a document with in the Laserfiche repository and route to other user who is involved in the form process.

Any suggestion?

I'm not aware of the upload button being able to see into the laserfiche repository as that function was designed around uploading external files.

So how does the user determine which document to associate to which form. client name, invoice number, ref number?

The reason why I ask is sometimes you have to think about this a little backwards and have LF workflow return the document you want or have it kick off the inital forms approval process.

Step 1. Imaging that there is a process which allow you to store document into a specific folder within the repository. For example birth certificate evidence.

Step 2. A clerk set the values of the template, so the document is ready and still in the same (original) folder.

Step 3. Using FORMS, you may want to select some documents, add some comments and set some values & comments in the form (to store in the metadata), then send it out over email, including the birth certificate.

Any idea?

If you use Laserfiche Mobile, you can attach document from the repository when filling a form. And for the native Forms, it doesn't support attach document from repository and this feature is in the to-do list.

This will not be available with 10.2. We will look into it after 10.2.
