Email Notification when document uploaded into Repository ?

Is it possible to have an automatic email sent onto a user when their repository has had a document newly uploaded ?

 

If we upload 'Document A' can we have an email sent to managers that recognises the folder structure in the repository and states;

" A new document A has been uploaded to your 'New Documents' folder, click here to view the upload"

 

Hope the above makes sense.

You would need to create a workflow to accomplish this. Using a Starting Entry rule "Entry Created". The workflow would contain the email action and can be configured to have the link as an attachment. You will need to determine a strategy of where the email address will come from, such as in the Metadata of the parent folder to send the email to the appropriate user.
