Question

Can WebDAV be implemented in a non-windows domain environment?

asked on November 8, 2016

We have a Client of ours that wants to use WebDAV. They don't have a domain, just individual workstations. Is this possible and if so, how can this be implemented?

My understanding is that the a named user license is required to utilize WebDAV with Laserfiche. Is this feasible with a non-domain account?

The questions of licensing and authentication are separate.  No matter how the users authenticate, they need to have an appropriate license allocated to them.

It is possible to authenticate as a repository user, but this requires support from both the client and the server.  There are some notes here about enabling "basic authentication" in LFS, and in addition your WebDAV client will need to support that authentication method.
