Is it possible to do a URI based search with Weblink or Web Access that runs a field (template) search, but returns metadata results as a data set (JSON, XML or the like) that we can then programmatically work with. Using a RESTful API in this case would be superior to the toolkit as it wouldn't require additional libraries to be included with the calling application.

Is there currently any way to do this or are there any development plans to include this type of integration in the future?
