Question

LF Office Integeration

asked on October 31, 2016

Hi,

Lately we have been receiving unusually large amount of issues regarding LF Office Integration. Some clients have mentioned that these started happening after office update. LF Add-in's have no publisher assigned to it which kind of makes it suspicious.

Sometimes ribbon disappears, and even enabling it from options->com addin have no effect. Its mostly on excel and outlook though.

In most cases we end up reinstalling lf client. But in one case even that didn't fix it. Issues of multiple nature have been reported both on client and webaccess.

Anyone else having issues with lf office integration that's beyond usual?

Not complaining, just like to confirm if LF is aware of it.

Thanks

Junaid Inam

Hi Junaid, what is the version of your Office and Office add-in?

I'm experiencing the same issue in Office 365 2016 version. Specifically happening on Excel, where the Laserfiche Ribbon disappears and adding it again does not stay after restarting Excel. Client repair doesn't work, Online Office repair used to work, but not anymore.

Junaid/Sheldon,

Did either of you ever find a solution to this?

Hi Calvin,

Here is my solution from LF Support that I tried out yesterday and it worked.

Uninstall and reinstall the Laserfiche Office Plugin. Reboot the PC. Then check each of these three registry keys and make sure that the LoadBehavior dword is set to 3

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Excel\Addins\Excel2016SaveToLaserfiche.Save
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Office\Excel\AddIns\Excel2016SaveToLaserfiche.Save
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Excel\Addins\Excel2016SaveToLaserfiche.Save

If it isn't, manually set the value to 3. Then reboot the computer PC again and see if the issue still occurs.
