Read metadata from XML file while importing documents

We have large set of documents along with its metadata stored in XML files. Each document has xml file with same name containing its metadata.

 

Is there a way to import these documents in Laserfiche and attach metadata from XML file programmatically or through workflow?

Yes there are numerous methods to complete this task. You can create your own import utility using the SDK. The easiest way would be to use workflow to iterate over your xml files and use the "Read XML" activity to parse the metadata needed.
