Question

my workflow makes a folder then creates a file within the folder. Can I also have the workflow put Metadata to the folder based on the info. in the template on the document?

My workflow makes a folder then creates a document within the folder. Can I also have the workflow put Metadata on to the folder based on the info. in the template on the document?

Yes. You can. Use find entry for the document and then you can easily get its parent.

add to Junaid comments, If you want to apply metadata, to the document (entry) and to the parent folder.

You will need to use 2 "Assign Field Values" activities, one for the doc entry and one for the parentfolder entry. If you have use a "move entry" you can also choose on which entry type you want to apply the metadata.

but you need to put the "Assign Field Values" activity after the "find entry" or "move entry" to apply the metadata to the entry parent folder.
