Forms Workflow Service stopped working

What do you see in event viewer on the server ? It might give more clues as to what really happened.

Please take a look at this.

Run the Workflow Configuration Manager real fast.   We had our Web Services become corrupt once for unknown reasons and got similar errors.    The Config manager may  point out the problem to you quickly.

This can also occur when the server is maxed out, CPU or RAM usage above 95% causes LF apps to not communicate properly. This was the issue in my case.
