Laserfiche Client 10.1 - Saved Template Searches auto-filling with asterisks

asked on October 21, 2016

Has anyone else encountered this issue?

I did a Common search in conjunction with a Template search, and then saved the search.  However, after I Load that saved search, the unfilled Template fields are pre-filled with asterisks (instead of being blank), which is limiting the search results.

Once I delete the asterisk from each template field, and then click Search, Laserfiche returns the expected quantity of entries.

I am using Laserfiche Client 10.1 on a Windows 7 machine.  (Notably, however, my co-worker has the same setup, but is not having this issue.)  Thanks!

The "solution" was that I had to delete all my saved searches.  Re-set up and saved my searches, and now when I load the saved template search, it does not auto-fill with asterisks.

Try this.

Once you delete the asterisk from each template field after loading, click save search and replace existing. Does that help?

I've tried saving as existing search as well as a new search, but that doesn't change anything.  Thanks though.

Some additional information that might shed some light on this issue:

I just found that if I load the saved search (asterisks appear in template fields), and then close Laserfiche, when I re-launch Laserfiche, the saved search is loaded without the asterisks.
