Lookup rules taking long time to load or never for certain users

asked on October 20, 2016

I have a form built with two linked drop downs. Selection an option in the first determines the options in the second. It is using a DB Query to populate the options using Lookup Rules. Fairly standard stuff. It works fine for a number of users but I have one user that can make a selection in the first drop down but it takes quite a long time (30-60 seconds) for the second to populate.

I tried moving her to one of our testing machines and she had the problem there as well. I logged her off of LF Forms and logged in as me and the drop downs behaved normally. It seems the issue is tied to something with her account. I'm in as an admin and she is using group permissions. I set her to admin for a moment and had her try it again and no change.

Any ideas?

Can you check whether the data source configured for this lookup rule use windows account to connect? Also please check whether the slowness for this customer can be reproduced if use another data source?

Yes, I had a look at that and the credentials are fine.

I found an issue in the JavaScript on the page that was causing the autofill routine to fire continuously and have resolved that. What I found curious is that it was not doing it for my login, only a specific user.

I tested this using using the same computer, network login and browser. The only difference was the Laserfiche login.

So your original issue has been fixed after resolved the issue for the JavaScript? Is the lookup rule based on current user? If do, then it maybe something special with the user's name?
