Preview Pane Won't Stick

Is there any way to get the Preview Pane to stick when doing searches, or even just in general? I can get the Preview to show, but after exiting it disappears when entering LF again. Is there an option to make it stick?

Turn the preview pane on.  Then go to Tools > Options > Browser > Settings, and select the "Save Pane Layout" checkbox.

 

That should keep the Preview pane on at all times.
