Is there a way to automate the repository registration?

We have a 9.2 repository and we are scripting most of the configuration so we can do a fast recovery in case of a server crash.

Normally I would restore the database and volumes and go to the administration console and register the repository.

Is there a way of automating this repository registration?
We are working on a script using the registry settings but I wonder if somebody has any suggestions.
