Question

Connector

asked on October 14, 2016 Show version history

Dears,

There is a small confusion on how the connector deals with some applications which is accessible via web browser. for example, the GUI of Oracle Forms is web, users access the system via Chrome. do we consider the application is supported since Chrome is supported by the connector ? or should we make  a test on the application?

my main concern is what to consider, the GUI itself or the nature of the application should be a concern regardless of it is accessible by a supported browser?

thanks,

The specific application still matters, and should be tested using the Test Utility. Using a supported browser is required but not sufficient to guarantee compatibility, as web applications may use technology that Conector does not support.

For example, as noted in the compatibility list, Connector cannot work with Flash websites, and can only with with websites using Silverlight if accessibility mode was enabled by the creators of the application.
