Question

folder path disappearing when scanning

asked on October 12, 2016

Hello,

When we scan documents in we usually have to click open a couple of folders and sub-folders before we are at the place we want to scan in. Most of the time we hit the scan button, and scan our documents in with no issues. The document will go right into the folder it is supposed to go into. However, for a couple of people in our work unit sometimes when they click on the folder they want to scan into it doesn't pickup the folder pathway. If that has happened when they scan in instead of it going into the folder they thought they were scanning into it goes to the top of all of our folders. We've actually had this problem surface several times this year and our service provider has been able to fix it, but it seems to be something they are unsure how to fix this time around.  I know the first possible solution is that we are somehow clicking different or not selecting the folder somehow but I've clicked and not clicked and tried to do it any sort of possible way I can to make a difference and it doesn't seem to matter. We've also had different people, who get to the folders differently, both have this problem. We've also had it happen on different versions of Laserfiche, although right now we are on 10.1. The issue also seems to be intermittent. Any insight or solutions anyone has would be very much appreciated.

Usually when there isn't an obvious solution to an issue someone is having in the client, I personally like to start with "repairing" the client.  If you haven't done so, I would say to start with that.  Just my two cents, hope it helps!

Yah, unfortunately they've already "repaired" the client. It's worked in the past but not this round.
