Question

Hide PDF Bookmarks and Edit Pane?

asked on October 12, 2016

When we save a LF Form directly to the repository as a PDF it always opens with Bookmarks and for the lack of better name, the Edit Pane. Is there a way to set this to hide by default?

Other PDFs do not do this, just ones saved from Forms.

This is what worked for me:

- Open a pdf in the adobe reader outside of Laserfiche.

- in Edit->preferences, check "Restore last view settings when opening documents" and "Remember current state of the Tools pane".

- Do View->Show/Hide->"Tools Pane" to close the tools pane.

- CTRL+H to enter reading mode.

- Close the pdf.

Untested, but try opening Adobe Reader (outside Laserfiche), open any document, and set the window to how it should look.  Close side bars etc. Then close Adobe Reader, and it should save this layout, which should be transferred to the Document Viewer inside Laserfiche Client.

Not sure of a way to 'deploy' this to multiple users, or default it. Probably an Adobe Reader setting...
