I have trouble logging into a repository by specifying AD credentials and I 've already done all the following steps.
  1. Assigning a license to each AD User in LFDS.

A support ticket was created for the issue. It turns out to be related to the LFDS Service logged on account. It was a local account (.\administrator). After changing it to a system account, and granting the account sufficient rights to SQL Server as Windows authentication is being used to connect to SQL, things work fine.

Hi Bongkoch,

Try re-starting your LFS server service. It takes a little while for the users to sync to the LF server from LFDS. You can force a sync by re-starting the LFS server service.

Hope this helps point you in the right direction! yessmiley

Hi Chris,

I am so sorry, If you mean this one, I already did re-start it too and still can not get into the repository as before with the same error message.

Sorry for my misunderstanding. laugh

Ah ok cool. Double check that the user you are trying to log into the repository with is explictally named in the windows accounts, then try logging into windows as that user and login to Laserfiche using windows authentication. If you are still having issues it may be that the LFSNU.db file is corrupt and needs re-creating. I would also raise a support case if you are still having issues as it could also be a port issue and they will help you troubleshoot this further.

There was a server patch for this issue also in May - https://support.laserfiche.com/kb/1013766/a-the-user-account-name-or-password-is-incorrect-9010-error-occurs-intermittently-when-signing-in-to-laserfiche-10- Check you are using the latest verison of Laserfiche (10.1.1.320). smiley

Hi Chris,

I tried your suggestion by updating LFS.exe with a hotfix 1013766 but it still doesn't work then I plan to try the latest hotfix (KB:1013798) and if that doesn't work too, may be I need to open a support case.

Your information really helps a lot. Can't thank you enough. yes

Are you trying to log in as a user that's different from the one you are logged into Windows as?  If not, you can just use the "use Windows authentication" checkbox.

Hi Brian,

I've tried logging as my AD into the server and ticked the checkbox.

And the error messages still remains.

Anyway, thank you very much for your help.

Thanks to support team and spacial thanks to Xioaxiao yan.

You did great job!

and this is the way to change from local account to local system account and and granting the local system account sufficient rights to SQL Server.

Hi Chris Douglas, I hope your issue has been solved.

hi there, we are having a similar scenario that is explained above. I'd like to confirm in your secnario is LFDS, App Server and SQL all in one server?

We have our App and LFDS services on one server, but a seperate SQL server. our LFDS and LF services use a dedicated Windows Account with Admin privlages on the Domain, but on the DB side we use a SQL account.

Based on your suggestion do you thing if we give that same Windows account the privleges on SQL it should work?
