Audit Trail - Write Field data doesnt have OLD value???

I just need to know what the field value was yesterday. There is only a column for current field value.

Am I searching for the wrong thing?

Write Field Value does not log before and after values. The previous value would be in the audit event logged when it was set to that value.

Is this something that is possible to add as a feature request? The client does not have audit data going back so far as to include field creation. If we needed to revert to any previous value we would have to use a backup....
