Search on Templates in LF Client 10.1.0 Is Slow

Hello,

 

I am having an issue with a user who is yielding long search times (3-5 minutes) when searching using the criteria of Template in the LF Client. I have deduced that the issue does not happen if I remove the columns from the search pane. I also have seen the answers article that references adding an attribute in in the LF Admin Console as a work around. The user in question does not want to use this work around as it defeats the purpose of the search since they want to the see all the information available. Is there any way to resolve the issue of slow search times when searching on a template?

Try updating your LF server to the recently release 10.1 update 2, this might be fixed (bug# 147764)

Hi Robert,

 

Thanks for the response. Is this an update that can be run on the server without having to restart the LF Server Service? I would like to make sure that there is no down time for the user unless necessary.

It requires a service restart.
