Hi Chad,

I'm not 100% sure what your question is based on that image. Do you want to set the doc viewer to default to displaying the PDF in the PDF viewer even if the document has image pages? Or do you want the PDF viewer itself to default to a specific zoom level?

Neither option is currently supported. We're looking into adding support for an option to set the PDF viewer as the default for PDFs with pages. We can also look into setting default zoom for the PDFs too.

Ok, I was trying to set the default view to Page Width, so they didn't need to change it every time they opened a document.

Ok, I filed an enhancement request to support setting a default zoom for the PDF viewer (SCR149968 for your reference). We'll look to add support for this in a future release.

Sorry to bring up an old topic but has this feature ever been implemented? We would like to do this for not only PDFs but defaulting zoom for standard document viewer as well (in web client and thick client).

UPDATE: I have discovered it for the default attributes settings for users. Doesn't seem like there is a way do set it by the end users through the actual client applications.

Hi Kevin,

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, you're correct- you can set this with attribute, but you cannot set it through the user interface of Web Client.

For those who are curious, the attribute is "[Settings]PdfDefaultZoom". The accepted values are: auto, page-actual, page-fit, page-width, and positive integer (i.e., 100 for 100%). Otherwise, it will default to auto.
