what would limit a user to only scan 60 pages per document?

one user can only scan 60 pages before it stops scanning. it will not scan or store over that amount.

We will need more information.

Are you getting any messages when it stops? 
What kind of workstation is it?
How much memory and HD space does the machine have?
What application are you using?
What scan engine?

after you asked the question of HD space and Memory.

I found that I don't have a lot of either on that workstation.

I will add some memory and clear off some HD space and try again.
