Quickfields Program Data Folders question - Can they be deleted?

asked on October 3, 2016 Show version history

Hi,

We have also been experiencing QF Agent Session errors Message="Could not find a part of the path 'C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\Quick Fields\Files\69fb2896-2e70-4d76-be08-3ede9d9d239c\Queue\...........

After reading previous posts regarding issues we will try and work out what is causing the issue (first thoughts are disk space or antivirus).

After checking these folders under C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\Quick Fields\Files I noticed a lot of disk space being used. I can see there are some culprit folders using 2Gb+, with tens of thousands of files).

The Queue folders are empty.

The disk space being used sits in the numbered folders (I think this is based on Year, eg, 2016 = 6, 2015 = 5). We have some old files in '2' (2012) folder. Can we delete these files? Also some that fall into 2016 ('6' folder) where failed jobs have been re-run can we delete the '6' folder?

I want to make sure these are ok to delete, in case something in the LF SQL database also needs modifying/deleting?

thanks

After speaking to Support, these files can be deleted, as long as they are not currently in use

We are also still experiencing this issue. We are current with Quick Fields 10.1.0.168 and have noticed files being stored in C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\Quick Fields\Files that are not deleting after the processing is done. It seems to be sporadic, meaning most of the time it cleans the files out while other times it leaves them there! Has this been addressed? Is there a fix? We do not want to have to clean it out every 6 months.
