Question

Date field not showing as 'dd/MM/yyyy' in emails generated from LF Forms

asked on October 3, 2016

Hi all,

I have used a date field (named as, Beginning Date) in my form and I have applied the date format as 'dd/MM/yyyy'. In the email notification of my process diagram, I have used the variable name ' {/dataset/Beginning_Date}' but in the email it is displaying as 'M/d/yyyy'. Instead of it showing as '12/10/2016', it is showing as '10/12/2016'. Can you please tell me how to correct this?

Thanks

Sheila

Hi Sheila,

The important place to check is the regional settings in the control panel.

This is where Laserfiche gets it's data from.

See the help file for information on configuring the date format for the Forms Server.

Hi Sheila,

Laserfiche gets the date format from the regional settings on the PC. Check the system regional settings through control panel and confirm they are set to the correct location.

Hope this helps! smileyyes

Hi Chris,

This has already been checked, the regional settings are set to 'dd/MM/yyyy' which is correct. Still, this has not solved my issue.

Have you checked the same settings on the workstations, LF server and Forms Server?

On Forms Server, it has been set to time zone Abu Dhabi same as on my workstation? How to check for LF Server? Please advise.

Hi Sheila,

It should be in the same place in control panel>Regional settings.

Hi Chris,

Yes, the regional setting is already set to Abu Dhabi as well. Still, this has not resolved my issue.

Hi Sheila,

Have you checked the forms process time zone in the forms config? Forms Server>Default Process Time Zone.

Yes Chris. The default process time zone is already set to as per below screenshot. Can you please advise which settings should be checked again?
