Question

Weblink Automatic Login Error "Permission Denied"

asked on September 28, 2016

We are trying to turn on the automatic login setting in Weblink 8.2.2 using windows authentication. Each time we turn it on users are getting "permission denied" error. But when we turn it off they are able to log in by typing in their windows user name and pass. Any suggestions for where to start?

Thanks!

Is your WebLink server installed on a separate machine from your Laserfiche Repository Server? If so, it could be that Kerberos needs to be configured. The first link should help with that and the second link is another Answers post discussing a similar thing.

Yes it is on a separate machine. The server admin tells me that we don't have Kerberos set up...is this a requirement for it to work?

Yes, for automatic Windows log in, it is Kerberos that passes your logged in credentials from WebLink to the LF server. You can log in manually with out setting it up.
