Question

Opening of ports for communication between Server and Client applications

asked on September 24, 2016

Hi all,

Is it important to always open port 80,1888,5050, 5051 for communication between Server and Client applications? Or, the port that need to be opened depends on the operating system that is currently being used and the port that should be opened will vary depending whether the Laserfiche Server's port usage has been customised? Please confirm about whether all these mentioned ports should be opened or it will depend?

The ports that will be used should be opened. 5050 was used by the server on XP machines only. 1888 is only used by legacy applications.

Hi Miruna,

Then it is not necessarily to always open 1888, 80, 5050 and 5051. Port opening will be dependent on the operating system that is being in use and it will vary depending on whether LF Server's port usage has been customised. Please confirm.

Thanks.
