Forms - No Space Between Letters for characters entered into fields

asked on September 16, 2016 Show version history

When typing into Forms the space between letters looks normal. But after saving the forms to the repository, the resulting document has all space between capital letters removed. There is no CSS on this form, just a theme, but I don't see anywhere in the theme designer where the data typed in can be altered.

Here are some examples

Couple things I have tried this morning:

Tried removing the theme configuration (setting back to Basic theme) - No Luck

Tried changing the Font under theme to Times New Roman instead of Aerial - No Luck

Tried saving as a PDF - No luck

Tried copying the Form to a previous version of Forms 10.0 instead of 10.1 - Space between text re-appears and text looks normal. No idea what setting is removing the spaces in 10.1 though.

You have this issue for a specific form or all the forms? I checked one form with basic theme on 10.1, no such issue:

If the issue reproduced with specific form, can you open a support case by providing the exported process with that form?

A case has been opened with Laserfiche Support. This thread will be updated when a resolution is found.

The issue happens when the maximum form width (the gear menu in the top right of the Layout tab in the form editor) is set to 1000px; upon restoring to the default value of 800px, there is no issue with the spacing. It seems related to the process of trying to fit the entire form width onto the page, as there are varying degrees of "compression" for intermediate values of the form width.

UPDATE: The issue is actually to do with the left and right margins on the generated page when the form width is 1000px. SCR 149280 has been filed for this. Thanks to Xiang for the correction.
