Question

workflow triggering in different repository

asked on September 13, 2016 Show version history

I have a workflow where I have configured the ConnectionProfile for a repository called 'MobiusCopyOfLive'.

I have setup the starting rules as 'trigger this WF when a new document gets created in the repository'. After publishing the workflow, WF is keep looking into the wrong repository. I have checked each and every setting, created a copy of workflow and re-created starting rules, re-published, checked the session in notepad and searched for the word 'Legal'  and can't find this word (because it's triggering in a different repository called 'MobiusLegal' which is even at a different LF Server.)

I am literally loosing my mind as why is this happening.

Can someone please advise?

Thanks in advance.

Starting rules do not have connection profiles. If your Workflow server monitors multiple repositories, then the starting rule should include a condition on the repository name.

Miruna,

I have selected the right profile under 'Get metadata from:' dropdown box and I am assuming this make sure that WF gets triggered in the right repo? is this not the case?

I have changed the rule to add the Repository equals xxxxx. Let me test.

The connection profile under "Get metadata from" is provided for ease of configuration for picking templates and folder paths. It is not actually associated with the rule. You need to specify a repository condition to restrict rules to a given repository.
