Windows credentials prompts for Workflow web service

asked on September 12, 2016

I am currently setting up Forms portal and attempting to connect to the server that has Workflow. I am able to resolve the Workflow server name in the Forms configuration. The limitation is that the Forms service is on a DMZ and not on the domain. When I attempt to run a workflow I am prompted with Access Denied 401. What would be the permission in IIS that I would need to change in order for it to authenticate?

Workflow Web Service is using windows authentication. Are you able to change the account that run  Laserfiche Forms Routing Service to a windows account that can be authenticated to the domain?

You can follow the white paper https://support.laserfiche.com/resources/3481/hosting-laserfiche-forms-10-in-a-perimeter-network-dmz- to configure two Forms servers: one in the internal which will have routing service running, one in the DMZ which have routing service stopped, the DMZ forms server will call the internal routing service to run the processes so you just need to configure the internal routing service to be able to authenticate with the Workflow server.
